Hello from Clarke and Shelby Mossman!

We have been married for just over three months now and are discovering what marriage is all about. It has been a time of getting to know each other better through our first Thanksgiving and Christmas season! As our relationship grows, we are constantly striving to keep Christ the center of our lives, and we have an opportunity to do just that.

This March, we will be going to Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada to serve for five months with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). This program is made up of two phases. The first phase is a time of Biblical and missions training, which involves learning from both local and international teachers, as well as time dedicated to prayer and worship. For the outreach phase we will take what we have learned and use it to minister in the Philippines through street evangelism and ministry in schools, churches, prisons and prayer houses, sharing the gospel and praying for the sick.

Clarke took this missions training in 2014 and will now be one of the leaders. “When in the Philippines, our team was doing street evangelism and I met a man named Andy. His family, job and all of his relationships were falling apart and he told me he had no reason to live. After speaking to him about the hope of Jesus, he got down on his knees and gave his life to the Lord. By the next week he was standing in front of 150 people, testifying of how Jesus had changed his life. This is just one of the many stories from my experience in the Philippines that makes me so excited to lead others in making an impact!”

Shelby recently took mission trips to India and Uganda. “Through these experiences I was able to see the Lord move in amazing ways. I learned so much about God’s heart for the world and how to fight for the well-being of His people. YWAM is the next step on this path where the Lord has been leading me and now us.” We are beginning to see how God can use our individual strengths together to have a greater impact on the world and we have an incredible opportunity to do that through YWAM.

We would like to ask you to partner with us as we begin this new journey together in ministry. You can do this in two ways. First of all, you can be praying for us. Please pray for God’s favor as we go to both Canada and the Philippines. Next, we will need financial support. All YWAM missionaries must raise 100% of their support. We need to raise $9,500 by the end of March. This will cover our training in Canada as well as our travel and living expenses in the Philippines. Please be sensitive to how the Lord leads you in this area. We trust that when God calls, He provides. We are already seeing this and are so excited when we receive notes of encouragement and financial support. It means so much to us that you are thinking of us and praying for us!
